Katherine Sheets joined the firm as a law clerk in 2017 and joined the firm as an Associate in 2018. Ms. Sheets is focused on civil litigation, as well as estate administration, estate litigation, general business matters, and business litigation. Ms. Sheets graduated summa cum laude from the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law in May 2018, also earning a Graduate Certificate in Advocacy Skills. During law school, Ms. Sheets was named to the Moot Court Society Order of the Barristers in the fall of 2016, participated in two national moot court competitions for McKinney, and served on the Moot Court Board. She was an associate member of the Indiana International and Comparative Law Review and advised first-year students through the Dean’s Tutorial Society.
Prior to attending law school, Ms. Sheets graduated from Indiana University Bloomington in 2011, earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biochemistry and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Spanish. Before coming to Parr Richey, Ms. Sheets worked in the insurance industry as a claims adjuster handling automobile claims involving property damage and personal injuries.
Ms. Sheets is admitted to practice law in the State of Indiana and the Federal District Court for both the Northern District of Indiana and the Southern District of Indiana.

Currently, Ms. Sheets serves on the board of directors for the Community Foundation of Boone County, the Boone County Chamber of Commerce, and the Lebanon Educational Foundation.
Honors and Awards
Ms. Sheets received the Mitzi H. Martin Best Advocate in the Preliminary Rounds of the Staton Competition Award. She was recognized on the Dean’s List at Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law every semester during her law school education.
Ms. Sheets was also recognized in the Indiana Super Lawyers Magazine in 2022, 2023, and 2024 as a Rising Star. This designation is limited to 2.5% of Indiana attorneys 40 years old or younger or in practice for 10 years or less.
